Rope-Pull  Awnings are almost always found on residential properties only. Most often they are of a galvanized-steel frame  constructed using slip fittings or threaded pipe as opposed to to being welded. They may stay up year round, but may not. These frames are more flexible than a standard Semi-Stationary frame but similar in construction. You drop them down on sunny days to block the sun's rays and pull them up on cloudy days to allow light in. They may be taken down entirely for the winter season.
